About Landon

How good something is in life depends upon how courageous we are to achieving it.

“Just send it” is all about courage.

Landon was one of our summer street musician performers with Downtown Sioux Falls. His ability to play a wide range of musical genres made him a perfect fit to our organizations summer placemaking programs.

In addition to his exceptional talent for performing, Landon was one of the most professional artists to work with during the planning and scheduling process leading up to the start of the summer live music scene.

Landon played at our holiday party and he did an amazing job of playing a wide variety of songs that truly put everyone in a festive mood. I received multiple compliments from my staff on his talent and engaging personality.

Currently, I am a freshman at Augustana University. Music has always been an essential part of my life. I started playing guitar when I was 4 with Geoff Gunderson at Childbloom® Guitar Program of Sioux Falls. School choirs and church choirs helped me develop my voice. In the summer of 2021, I began performing publicly as a solo guitar player/singer. I have enjoyed playing at bars, breweries, wineries, company parties, restaurants, weddings, social hours, churches, Christmas parties, open markets, ribbon cuttings, and more. When I am not performing, you will find me studying at Augustana or performing with their choir.

Musically, I’m eclectic. You will hear everything from James Taylor to the Beatles to Luke Combs in my sets.

“Just send it” is my personal motto. It began with playing baseball. Stressful moments like starting on the mound in a state championship game or getting called into pitch with bases loaded, I would tell myself to just send it. It is saying I am giving everything I have, and I’m not holding back. This motto has helped me musically. Learning new music or creating my own version of a popular song can cause doubt and hesitation. To break through the uncertainty, I plug in my guitar, pull the microphone close, and remind myself to just send it. It is committing myself to the song. How good something is in life depends upon how courageous we are to achieving it. “Just send it” is all about courage. I’m grateful for my fans, teachers, mentors, and all who have supported me on this journey. I enjoy entertaining a crowd. It would be an honor to play at your next event.

I got a chance to have coffee and talk music with Doug Johnson of the band Loverboy. A great musician and even better person. Big thanks to him for an incredible experience!
